buying to…support?

I recently bought music from an artist I love, but still listen to the album on Spotify.

I pre-order books by authors I respect, but am still a religious library borrower.

I buy prayer cards simply because they are beautiful, not for use during prayer.

I subscribe to various creative’s Patreons and never use their perks, simply because I love what they do.

I’m not sure when I moved from buying to own to buying to… support.

I feel like a royal offering patronage for the people whose work I care about.
Except I am not doing it alone.

No longer does one need exorbitant wealth to elevate creativity.
We only need each other.

Is this what it feels like to bring God’s kin-dom to earth?
